A very beneficial USA Scholarship For African Students 2021

The USA scholarship for African students program was created to help Africans in the undergraduate and postgraduate level complete their education in the United States.

This is made possible by the Union of Africa Americans in the United States. This was in form of special donations and grants set aside for the advancement of Africa. 

Level of coverage

Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs are supported by this financial aid.

Eligible Nationality

Only African countries are eligible for this financial aid. All interested applicants from any country in Africa is free to apply.

Scholarships value and included benefits

• A fully funded financial aid that will be valid throughout the course duration. Selected applicants will have no need to pay for tuition fees.
• A welfare allowance of 3,000 USD will be given to selected applicants every 12 months.
• A student visa (study permit) that will be valid throughout the course duration.
• Selected applicants will be helped to search for and work while studying (upon request).

Note: The financial aid will be valid for only five years. If after 5 years the beneficiary is yet to complete his/her education, the scholarship will be discontinued. The same rule also applies to the student visa.

Accommodation

Affordable hostels will have been made available before arrival of selected applicants. Further information and updates concerning accomodation will be disclosed to selected applicants.

Basic Requirements

• Applicant must be an African.
• Applicant must not be more than 35 years old. 
• Applicant must gather relevant academic records that shows he/she is academically sound.

Required Documents

• The completed scholarship application form. See form and apply here.
• Registration (Sign up Fee) of 100 USD. (₦48500 Nigeria, ¢444 Ghana, R1207 South Africa). To pay for this kindly refer here.
• (For the undergraduate program): a minimum of 5 credit passes in O/level examinations. That includes Mathematics, English language and 3 other subjects that may prove relevant for the desired course of applicant. 
• (For the Postgraduate program): a first degree or HND.
• A recently captured passport photograph (colored).

 

The Scholarship Closing Date

The deadline for this financial aid is 30th November, 2021. However, all interested applicant should note that there are only 5,500 slots. Once the number of applicants reach the stipulated quota, the application form will close regardless of whether the closing date is due or not.

Application Instructions

All applications will be verified before 31st December, 2021. Selected applicants will be contacted and notified latest 28th February, 2022.
